The Life of Selena

Selena was born in Lake Jackson, Texas in 1971. She would spend her time as a young girl dancing and singing. At an early age, Selena's father formed a band called "Selena y Los Dinos." In the early years this group helped her record her first song. At the age of 21, she married Christopher Perez a guitarist in her band. After being married Selena started her own clothing line called The Selena etc. Boutique in 1993. Later in 1994 Selena's music won her a Double Platinum award for "Selena Live." And also that year Selena's album "Selena Live" won her a Grammy. Then in 1995, Selena's album "Dreaming of You" was a crossover hit. Sadly, her associate Yolanda Saldviar killed her on March 31st.

I think Selena was a wonderful singer and dancer. She is an inspiration through out the world. She is a wonderful beautiful lady and I think that if she hadn't died, she would still be an inspiration. I admire that her family gave her lots of support thought out her life. For instance, her father stuck with her through thick and thin. Even when they got in arguments, they still got along. And her husband helped her with the band also. So, I think that is an example of a wonderful family.
