Biography

My name is Crystal Laurina Appleton

I was born in Washington, DC in 1990 on September 11. I have a twin sister, two brothers and two other sisters. I have two nieces and one nephew. I’m repping EDGEWOOD. I go to Maya Angelo Public Charter School. Before that I went to Noyes, Shade and Emery, elementary schools and I went to R.H Terrell Junior High. I moved when I was in third grade and went to Trenton New Jersey then I came back to Washington in the sixth grade and now I’m in the ninth. I’m about to turn 16 in two months and a couple of days. My hobbies are to hang-out with my friends, go out and have fun and my favorite part of the day is night because it’s always so live. I love my 'hood because it’s mostly were I grew up at and met some of my best friends today. It’s just a good chill spot and when life is crazy and hectic I just go sit on the playground and look at the stars and relax, no drama, no nothing, it’s just peaceful. I would gladly rep for my 'hood any day because I feel like I am a part of it and if you hurt it, you're hurting me too. I’m going to stand up for me and my 'hood no matter what. My high school is Maya Angelo and I think it is one of the best schools in Washington, DC. It is a school that gives you a lot of opportunities you wouldn’t really have. For example you get a job that pays you and you can work. You go on college tours, you can travel, it has a lot of great things you can do, also a lot good people that are really funny and cool to hang out with go there. When I first came there it was just so funny I was laughing for the first couple weeks cause the people are so cool. If you go there you’re never really bored and everyday is a fashion show. It’s a fun school if you go there you better be prepared to learn and the teachers are cool and they help you out in anything you need. The best thing I like about my school is "cooking up a future", it’s this fundraiser we have to raise money for the school and help pay for the trips we go on. It vicious because we dress-up in a fashion show and other classes you can go to in the building to learn everything that goes on in the school. It’s just so fun.
