As a child, I have already grown into the stage of
womanhood. I have declared myself a teen with the abilities of a goddess. I
have experienced the trials, tribulations, and have fallen off the rough edges
of life, enough to say that I am in for a bumpy road! I was born in Washington,
DC on April 12th in the year of 1992. Born as a child, raised and
developed (not saying physically) into a woman, I have climbed to the peak of
success. I am an incredible achiever in
school. I have completed elementary (Noyes Elem.) and junior high school (Bertie
Backus Junior High). I have also developed the ability to write poems and
lyrics. As an upcoming achiever in writing poems, I have developed a name,
which is “Souls Adolescent”. Here is a poem that follows the name…
SOULS ADOLESCENT
Feeling the vibe of transforming words into expressions
The
Greatest Depression in my life was conquering fear
To hear
the rain fall on my window energizes my soul with talent
Silent
may be the wind but yet still I rise High as the tide my voice is heard
Watching
as sorrow drops, drops, drops into the ocean of life beyond strife I find my
reflection
I am
Souls Adolescent you see a child but hear the voice of a goddess
Honest
in my writing
Looks
are deceiving but are words?
From
rhythm to freedom I find myself behind the bars of life
Struggling
to break free from this dream
I put
my anger into a scream
And
stand as poetry trespasses my soul
