CPDC's first official tech week happened during Black History Month of 2002. It was a great success, although this year we want to increase participation from all sites. This week incorporates technology as a tool for learning more about the communities we serve. We decided to expand our theme to Celebrating Our Communities, because of the various ethnicities represented at each of our seven sites. This week encompasses activities for both adults and children, creating true community across age groups. The week is set up as a model that can be used at all CPDC properties, with the culmination of all groups coming together on Saturday for the All Day Youth Jam. We want this to be an event that our partners are proud to sponsor and our residents are excited about attending. (We would like partners from different agencies and sponsors to be the judges at our Poetry Slam and Art Show.)
