The word of God on James
1:27 tells us that "Religion that God our father accepts
as pure and faultless is this,, to look after orphans and
widows in their distress and to keep one self from being polluted
by the world." It is our responsibility as christians
to make sure that no child is deprived of the nessessary needs.
The vision of EGM
is to see the word of God in action by assist HIV/AID orphans
in their physical, social and spiritual needs. The
program uses a model that may be highly sustainable and replicable
by other programs. Support for the children is provided through
relatives and families that are already taking care of them
– a dying parent, an uncle, etc… The idea is to create a nurturing
environment within the child’s existing social network. The
program provides all the essentials: food, shelter, education,
medical care, counseling.
